One week later, the children were able to eat their fully developed rock candy!! Some of them looked fantastic and apparently they were delicious too 😋 we all really enjoyed observing the changes in the solution over the week! @followstannes

Update: On Day 3, significant sugar crystals have formed in many of the jars. They will be ready to eat very soon! 😄 @followstannes

We are making our own rock candy this week! Today we had to dissolve copious amounts of sugar in water over a hot plate and set up our jars. Hopefully we will see crystals developing over the next few days as the solution cools 👀🤞 **watch this space** @followstannes

We were inspired by all of the rain this week! The children mixed colours and painted all different kinds of umbrellas 🧑‍🎨 🎨 ☔️ @followstannes

We had a very impressive performance from our ‘Fire Girls’ and ‘Active Girls’ in the talent show this week. The class and I were so proud of them! 👏🏻 🤸‍♀️ 👯‍♀️ @followstannes

The children had a fantastic time on their school tour in Astropark, Tallaght. Bouncy castles, nerf guns, bubble football and sun… what’s not to like!? 😄 ☀️

What a way to end a fantastic week full of exercise and fun!! 😄 The children chose their favourite song from the movie ‘Encanto’ and Ms Casey taught them the steps. They did incredibly well to learn so much in just three days!! 🕺 👏🏻 @followstannes

We went on a 3D shape hunt last week through the school! It was great to hear the children discussing whether or not something qualified as a cube, cylinder or sphere etc. Great work everyone! @followstannes

Great excitement this afternoon! We’ve been learning all about the different food groups over the past two weeks and today we rewarded ourselves with some delicious and nutritious smoothies 🍎🍌🍓🥤@followstannes

We have some budding dancers in our midst! The children have been practising warming up through dance, making different shapes with their bodies and, of course, dancing! Here’s a peek into our dancing class from this week! @followstannes

The children worked very diligently to create these lovely cards for Mother’s Day. They had a lot of cutting to do and also came up with 5 special reasons for why they love their mums. Well done to all! We hope all the mums like them 💐 @followstannes

Such a fantastic day for PE outside with coach Ed 😎 the children had a super time! They were working on their overhead ‘w’ catch, their high throw and their power and balance in movement. ⚽️ 🏀 @followstannes

Around this time of year in St. Anne’s, we would normally have grandparents in to visit the classrooms. Unfortunately we couldn’t do that this year, but we wanted to let them know that we’re thinking of them with some tea - rrific cards👴👵☕️ @followstannes

We have been talking all about the signs of winter this week. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for the robin redbreast 👀 The children did a super job here creating a wonderful winter display ❄️🌨 @followstannes

We received a very exciting delivery of equipment from ‘The Picker Pals’ this week! The children can’t wait to get out into the community and start picking! 😃🚮 @followstannes

We have been exploring the theme ‘space’ since we came back from our midterm break. The children have really enjoyed learning the song ‘Journey to the Moon’ and putting actions to it! @followstannes
