Launching a War on Pointless Homework
Before setting homework, ask yourself:
1. What is this trying to achieve?
2. Is this just an arts & crafts task?
3. Will they learn anything?
4. Is that learning directly connected to the curriculum or subject?
5. Is this useful practise?
In addition, it is important to focus on the audience of the feedback - the student. It should not be to fill any other agenda of SLT / inspector or parent.
