@RickSemmler September 12th is the Black and Blue game between Edgewood and Owen Valley. It’s a night when the stands are usually packed and communities show up in full force to cheer on a long-time rivalry. But this year, something that used to be a no-brainer now comes with a tough choice.
Year by year Brady’s role has continued to grow wherever he goes.
Works his tail off, wants the ball in big games, and the biggest supporter of his teammates.
No surprises here! Brady will thrive at the next level.
Finished a great camp with @MuncianaVB!
Great competition and even better coaching. We love making this camp as a staple of our summer.
Thank you @Mike_Lingenfelt and staff for sharing your love and knowledge of the game.
Travel day for team camp started with the 2024 EVB Masters Tournament at Birdies in Westfield!
Junior Anna Benson was the winner of the red jacket for the Grand Boulder course while sophomore Bella May took home top honors in the Grand Falls course.
DC 18U Dunbar was in action this past weekend at The Ohio Valley Tournament of Champions.
During pool play, the team went 3-1 and had multiple nail biting wins that secured a spot for Sunday’s tournament play. Overall, a good first weekend for the team! Let’s keep rolling!

As a current athletic director, I am so thankful I got the opportunity to work for @AngieLansing as a student at ISU.
Angie takes care of her people, is a master in her profession, and shows her Sycamore pride everywhere she goes!
ISU Athletics is in great hands.
Change is inevitable, expected or not. The mission remains the same. We stand steadfast, together, in support of @AngieLansing, our coaches, student athletes and each other, during this transitional period.
Your continued support is needed and appreciated, Sycamores.
Speed training with a view! Joe put me through a workout and lets just say I wasn’t the fastest. Make sure you’re getting your individual practices in fellas! @EdgewoodBase
I’m excited to announce my commitment to further my academics and athletics into the next 4 years at Hanover College. Thank you to my friends, family, and coaches who have supported me over the years! #rollthers

High school athletic directors.
Some great ones, some average ones and man oh man some bums. But as one Supt. reminds me all the time: That’s true with every industry.
But what I can’t find with ADs is this: Can you tell me one other person inside a school building - outside Supt. or a principal - that has as much responsibility as an AD?
Just a couple things they do: 1,000s kids, parents, facilities, grounds, security, scheduling, officials, transportation, eligibility, logistics 101, works Winter and Spring breaks, 24-7 for essentially 10 of 12 months - no set schedule when a game runs or issues arise, manages over the summer, oversees community rentals, drives revenue for the school - not just at gate or spirit wear but having quality extracurricular programs for students and families to want to attend, capital planning, manages athletic trainers and health aspects, state compliance, secures event staffing, $100,000+ budget, hiring and firing of staff for all levels and only has 1 or maybe 1.5 full-time people to help.
It’s utterly insane that schools have not realized that athletics are so much more than wins and losses, points and goals scored. Some are considered assistant principals or do the AD job while also teaching half the day or overseeing the PE department.
Schools need to invest in athletic departments. They need to provide more full-time year-round staffing.
To expect 1 to 1.5 full-time people to handle a department with this much impact and is the face of the school with the community is asinine. #IHSA https://t.co/Xm6mS3gadg
