@WMGallery Wondering if there is any information available on this print by Frank Brangwyn? Is it possible to find out the title and the date it was made?
Very sad to hear of the death of Tatjana Patitz, undoubtedly the most super of all the “Supermodels”. This very image, from the cover of British Vogue May 1989, taken by Herb Ritz (she was “his favourite face”), was pinned to my teenage bedroom wall. RIP.

@PaulPickford7 Not sure if you’ll remember me enquiring about a “Happy Mondays” poster design? I tracked down the artist to Flick Ford (b.1954) - who is brother of Walton Ford (b.1960) - cool eh!?
@PaulPickford7 I've just been admiring a poster from 1990 (image attached) and noticed the illustration was signed "Pickford". Although the poster is for a gig in New York, because of the acts' Manchester connections I wondered if you might be the designer?
@Madz_Grant I simply don't understand why #swinglowhastogo the context may, just conceivably, be inappropriate but banning a song full of pathos, written by former slave? Is "Amazing Grace" also under threat? This anthem of the civil rights movement was written by a repentant former slaver!
@GeoffreyMunn1 I've written up my findings on "Eaglestones". I'm not sure about the rules on pasting links - you might be able to click on this or maybe copy and paste or maybe you can search for Tregeagle Fine Art and find it that way - Any comments welcome! https://t.co/DnhFahL26d
@GeoffreyMunn1 I've been meaning to ask your opinion for ages about this talisman. Seems to be a stone (not magnetic) - mounted in silver bands (unmarked) with a bail to the top - any ideas?
@GeoffreyMunn1 I think I've found it Migene González-Wippler "Talismane und Amulette: Die magische Welt der Glücksbringer und Schutzsymbole". Other interesting articles include "The Eagle Stone, An Antique Obstetrical Amulet" by T.G.H. Drake in 1940s Bulletin of History of Medicine!
@GeoffreyMunn1 Geoffrey, excited to share solution to what this amulet is! Never held it tight & shaken it before - discovered distinct rattle within! It is an Eaglestone, Aetites or Klapperstein - Culpeper recommends wearing these to prevent miscarriage. Links to them in various Wunderkammer.
Even more glad than usual to be living in Scotland right now. The cursed Covid prevents me from repeating my regular invitation to the rest of you to move here - but when it’s all over you’ll be more than welcome.
@GeoffreyMunn1 Thanks very much Geoffrey. I'll read your article again. Feel the need for anything magical at the moment! Keep safe and sanitise well, Sandy
@DrFrancesRyan@guardian We squandered the opportunity UK was dealt by happenstance. Our earliest community transmissions were curtailed by back-to-back storms Ciara + Dennis which cancelled events, delayed flights & forced people to stay home. They gave us a two week edge - which we bungled.
@arthistorynews Another example of squandered opportunity which UK was dealt by happenstance. I'm sure early community transmissions were curtailed by back-to-back storms Ciara + Dennis which cancelled events, delayed flights & forced people to stay home. Gave us two week edge which we bungled.
Feeling rather dark today. Really hoping for the PMs speedy recovery. We must, unequivocally, get the message that anyone can have serious complications from this virus #StayHomeSaveLives#COVID19#coronavirus#ClapforBoris
@JustinWelby Definitely supportive of clergy doing their bit in these exceptional and testing times. Though in our own benefice of four parishes we are actually eight months into an interregnum and divested of anyone ordained.
