@ZYPRESSEN22 I do not understand that stock, I cannot figure it out no matter how hard I stare at it. It has a buttplate at the back but it's too long to shoulder. I...
@BeuwenDragon It's a great thought experiment, as people's instantaneous, knee jerk reaction when they first read the options is the entire point. It solves no problems, answers no questions, by the end of the experiment it is likely billions are dead, for no reason.
@GeraltofGoonia After seeing the more nonsensical side of things Kojima produces on his own I think those around him at Konami probably put in a lot to tard wrangle his more spurious ideas.
@HNJUUE73EO67178@Jdaflame Oh, no I meant that the leadership of those corporations is running the artists, and thus their profits, into the ground. They treat the developers as replaceable, so they get a replaceable product. Whatever came across earlier must have been lost in context :/
Very reasonable and seemingly well-intentioned answer, thank you for not calling me a thieving orc pig rape demon like other Japanese people have been. I was just clarifying his assumption about overseas studios. Our studios are not impacted even slightly by piracy, they account for a loss which genuinely accounts for a rounding error in accounting. Instead, studios in the west are thought to be declining because of consistent mismanagement at a corporate level, where developers are beholden to suit-and-tie corporate greed instead of creative freedom. Creators in the U.S. don't have rights over their creations when they work in studios here, that work belongs solely to the copyright of the company.
Based on your post and other posts I have seen, it seems like a great culture for creators you have in Japan, with a much greater cooperation between companies and their employed artists, but that is not present in the U.S. and other western corporations, at all. Artists and developers are consistently laid off by the thousands to make a quarterly earnings report look favorable to shareholders.
@LCbutter HAHAHAHA
Holy shit, are you insane? That is the most retarded equivocation you could have possibly made. "Pirating games is like rape." That shit is so stupid I could frame it and put it on my wall.
