In a few short days it will be the 76th Anniversary of D-Day. I wonder from the depths of my soul what must all those of that Great Generation think of their President? What has he allowed to be done to the country they fought for, died for? Did they do so in vain? Did they?

It would appear that the staff of Jubilee Elementary in Sydney Mines, NS, forgot the part of the Remembrance ceremony that says Lest We Forget! Men and women fought and died for you to be where you are today. Remember do not Forget... Teach the children.

As an educator I have always held the belief that the education of young people was to develop responsible citizens. Why then do school authorities stand in the way when students act responsibly by marking them absent if they attend Climate Change protests?
