My wife bought a used painting from the thrift store because she liked the frame and stuffed inside were a bunch of old newspapers from 1982.

New cars were about $4500, Houses were $40,000 brand new, apartments were $200/month, college credits at the community college were $17 per credit and date night was less than $10.

I'd say the average pay in the classified sections were about $600 to $1000/week.

@KatyinIndy My wife is foriegn but I never bought anyone else from her family over. Was even offered a sweet gig of helping to flood the US with foriegn workers. Turned it down. Meanwhile this guy brings over the entire extended family.
