aren't visible. So, I'm replying from here. United Bengal should inc. West Bengal, Bangladesh, Barak Valley, Tripura, Maungdaw (Northern parts of Arakan), & other Bengali-majority areas of Jharkhand and Assam.
@Bring_congress@SonarBangla2026 Just like how people voted TMC instead of BJP or Congress in 2024. My grandfather was a hardcore Congressi, still I'm saying. It's unlikely Congress will emerge as the main opposition in Bengal. Most Bengalis have deep animosity toward Congress, especially Bangals.
My grandfather was a staunch supporter of the Congress party, and yet I believe it’s unlikely that Congress will emerge as the main opposition in Bengal. Many Bengalis hold deep animosity toward Congress, particularly those of East Bengal origin (Bangals), due to historical issues like the mismanagement of refugee waves and the implementation of the Freight Equalisation Policy. Congress used to garner votes primarily because of its anti-communist stance, appealing to those affected by land reforms. However, these anti-communists have now shifted their support to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and later to the BJP.
Since the Indian Secular Front (ISF) is allied with the Left, the 25% of Muslim voters will likely support the Left. Muslims are unlikely to trust any candidate from the Indian National Congress (INC) or TMC, especially after TMC's Muslim MPs joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). If the TMC merges with the INC, Adhir, the current Congress leader, might also leave the party.
The TMC lacks a consistent ideology, which means it doesn’t have a stable base of ideology-aligned votes. They previously secured around 80% of the Muslim vote, mostly out of fear of the BJP, along with some Hindu votes due to the provision of freebies. Meanwhile, the anti-Left faction of the TMC has already been absorbed by the BJP.
@MikeyCorleone7@Aqualord17 TMC has no ideology. So, it had no ideology-aligned votes. They used to get a solid 80% of Muslim votes due to fear of the BJP, alongside a few Hindu votes due to freebies. The anti-Left faction of TMC has already been captured by the BJP.

@MikeyCorleone7@Aqualord17 Since ISF is in alliance with the Left, all Muslim votes (25%) will go to the Left. Muslims will never trust any INC or TMC candidate after TMC's Muslim MPs joined the NDA. Adhir will also not stay in Congress if TMC merges with INC.
