Because of US Soccer's new equal pay agreement, men and women split World Cup prize money.

With the USMNT advancing today, the two teams will each receive $6.5 million minimum.

That's more than the USWNT got for winning both the 2015 and 2019 World Cups combined: $6 million.

@JeremiahOshan Definitely there are many factors. On the podcast starting at 13:00, you can hear their argument, which is basically that sidewalks can encourage drivers to go faster, making pedestrians less safe. Roads are “just for cars.” But there’s also probably an “American driver” problem.

@JeremiahOshan Explained more in the podcast. Mainly, 2 is *bc* of lack of sidewalks. I think the point is that adding sidewalks in residential areas will make drivers less attentive, drive faster and less safely. I like sidewalks, but quiet streets you can walk definitely have their appeal.
