@lindaholmes Did you hit "Project Hail Mary"? The audiobook in particular breezed by for me. Solid science-y adventure. If you liked The Martian, it's like that but a bigger reach.
@mattcolville Holy poop, I totally forgot about those. I can feel their weird texture just thinking about 'em. They're like, the simulation's idea of what a potato chip would be like.
@GennHutchison @BittrScrptReadr Agreed. Heartbreaking, and in a single shot. The meta and the story merged beautifully there. It was as real for the characters as it was for the audience. Zendaya and Garfield nailed it.
@willsmith +1 for the Arctic headsets in this category. Gotta do a bit of routing magic on your end depending on your normal audio chain, but its just cables and planning, nothing too crazy.
I had a very amusing tweet composed that involved the concept of a live band playing pop-punk covers of "Shape of You" on repeat, but it got deleted so now I'm just sharing that part because I can't be bothered to re-type it.
...But it had something to do with comparing that theoretical experience to the very real experience of seeing crafting videos start off promising only to end with the crafter pouring resin over a pile of garbage and lathing it into a bowl or some shit.
