A3) Not really surprising, but I'm curious why the higher populated counties are always paid more than rural counties. It feels like education is focused more around urban citizens than rural. #ap3040

@OteyCelena It happens. I had a friend quit after just a year of teaching in the private school system. You need to thicken up that skin before you get into it for sure. #ap3040

@ryne_marshall I agree. A lot of stresses that come with teaching seems to stem from the focus on standardized testing. The collar needs to be loosened a bit. #ap3040

A2) Perhaps on campus teacher counseling could help teachers better deal with the stresses and struggles that come with the professions. An opportunity to vent and seek advice rather than unravelling and making hasty decisions because of the stress. #ap3040

A1) I think most teacher's quit due to poor prep for the job. I think a lot of folks come into the job with tunnel vision thinking about the positives, but neglect to plan for the not-so-positive experiences that come with the job. #ap3040

A6) I'm on my biggest learning journey right now. I'm 36 and a year away from graduating, and starting my second career. I never thought it possible for me to achieve on the level I have, but I love to lead by example and am motivated by my kids. If I can do it, so can you. #nt2t

A5) My pot of gold is being filled up by my 18 month old son, who has had a couple of bouts with sickness but continues to have a great attitude and a curiosity to learn. #nt2t

A4) My old high school girl's basketball team just won the state basketball championship for the second year in a year. They're ranked top 10 in the nation and a source of hometown pride for me! #nt2t

A2) I am a foster parent, as well as a biological parent. I feel I am really involved in the growth of my children at home. We take children who are struggling with their family lives and turn them into achievers who return home to teach their own families. Very rewarding. #nt2t

A1) I'm really inspired to see students finding their voices outside the classroom, which has a part in having good leadership inside the classroom. So many teachers are helping students make themselves a part of society early on. #nt2t
