ShareX is a great alternative to Gyazo. More customisation, built-in editing and the option to keep everything local instead of uploading screenshots to the cloud 🙂

In ShareX go to:
Application settings → Advanced → Upload → DisableUpload
Set:
DisableUpload = True

That is the setting I’d use if you want ShareX purely for local screenshots and want protection against accidentally uploading something.
