@DarrenDazmo@sjdhatters You mean like in Iraq or Afghanistan where we fought in far worse conditions? No point in risking health & wellbeing in an exercise. Soldiers have died in exercises competed in these conditions before - why risk it?
@MrTeece_@BarryNSmith79 I’ve worked for a Trust where the phrase ‘we’ve got to give them something’ was used in reference to a bonkers complaint. Completely undermined the staff involved and empowered an already arrogant parent.
@Clive_Hill I couldn’t agree more. I’m moving from DHT to HoD in Sept in a new school because the things that excite me are curriculum, teaching and the classroom not data, spreadsheets & timetables.
I can’t wait to get back to being passionate about my subject
@mynewterm Having recently gone through the process as an applicant, having all the comms, interview details and pre-employment checks in one place makes life so much easier!
@ICT_MrP Currently a DHT but moving in September to a HoD post and honestly - I cannot wait. I thought I might want to be a HT some time ago but the last couple of years have completely put me off. Hats off to anyone that does do it though. It’s a thankless job.
@MonsterGreen79@LeagueOne25 I’m more cross that our early season form was so poor. If we’d got our house in order earlier we might have made it. Not making the playoffs is due to much more than just this call.
@NeilMellor33 There isn’t an angle that definitively says it was or wasn’t a goal - so ref’s call. We were awful at the start of the season and made it too hard for ourselves. Playoffs would have been great and I think we’d have had a decent chance, but it’s not on one ref’s call.
@simonljones_@NeilMellor33 If you’re relying on decisions like this in another game going in your favour to get into the playoffs - you don’t deserve it. We were awful at the start of the season and threw away far too many points early in the season
@LukeHarding18@SchoolsWeek Each non-contact period would cost a school between £2-4k. If you apply that across a whole school for every HoD then it’s a far more expensive model.
@AdrianBethune Do give over. You used structural misogyny as a straw man.
There are enough instances where wearing a coat indoors is impolite for it to be worth teaching children and then let them apply that learning in their own lives. If we don’t teach it - they’ll never learn
@AdrianBethune @jo_peabody@m_chiles It’s hardly pointless. Beyond the social norm (which is still a thing despite your comment about my nan) it serves a safeguarding purpose, an equality purpose, and a culture purpose.
You may not agree with the point, but calling it pointless is a dig at Heads that enforce it.
@AdrianBethune I hardly think that not giving off the impression that you don’t want to be somewhere is ‘outdated’
And lots of traditional values are exactly that - traditional. I don’t think comparing to structural misogyny is a fair comparison either.
@AdrianBethune ‘Are you not staying?’ - a polite and to the point challenge my nan used if I was wearing my coat indoors.
It’s impolite, implies that you aren’t joining in and don’t want to be there. Removing a coat when we enter a space is polite so I have no issue whatsoever
@FarnhamTownFC@HWFCOfficial Massive white block on the back of your kit though, no? Ref is spot on here. Not like you’d shrug off a key incident going against you if they hadn’t asked for the change.
