@ms_maclean @howie_hua I have countered this with saying "someone give me a wrong answer." Then we can discuss why it's wrong and get them attacking a problem from that side. My students have heard me say thousands of times, "In the absence of a correct answer, I'll take your best wrong answer."

@jebolyard1 I agree. I'm not sure how effective a shift has been, but I'd have to think it makes for better hitters to be able to do more than pull the ball.
