The largest amphibious invasion in human history began in the dark.
At dawn on June 6, 1944, nearly 7,000 vessels carrying 160,000 Allied troops closed in on the beaches of Normandy.
Through courage and sacrifice, they secured a foothold in Nazi-occupied France and began the liberation of Western Europe.
Today, we honor the heroes of D-Day.
I’ll say it. We look poorly coached. Like very very poorly coached. We don’t have any motion at all on offense. Taking the first shot, 0 hustle. Tough tough watch
I’ll say it again, all the money just attracted players who wanted to get paid and nothing else. We had a team last year this year we’ve got guys just tying to get there’s and it’s noticeable to everyone. Sad start of the year.
Also though what are we doing Kentucky fans. Booing then off the floor, booing college kids off the floor is a joke man. Such a bad look for the fan base
It might be time to call a spade a spade: This Kentucky team just isn’t as talented as we thought they were.
Definitely not the number-one-payroll-in-the-country good.
The Cats can turn this around and I hope they will. Really excited to get JQ back and see if it shifts things. Lots of hype coming into this season maybe this is the slice of humble pie we needed🤷🏼♂️ I want this for the fans and Pope. I think we’ll be okay but it’s gotta turn quick
We have guys shooting the ball immediately, guys passing up the pick and roll, getting to the rim taking crazy contested shots with wide open bigs on the block and shooters on the wing. Yes this can be coached but it’s seemingly like some dudes don’t believe in team ball🤷🏼♂️
I’m as frustrated as anyone else right now. I don’t think this is on Pope as much as everyone is pushing. We have a few guys who don’t want to buy in and play selfless and lay it out for each other and it shows. Way too much talent to have to carry the load alone.
People keep posting this but like why would he leave? He is set for life. Makes millions to lose and not make any changes. I would stay too if I was him. Like what else do you expect him to say here.
Mark Stoops laughs after being asked if he has considered walking away from the Kentucky job.
“Are you kidding me? No. Zero means zero. Zero percent chance I walk away.”
It’s amazing how many folks are already resigned to another mediocre Mark Stoops season in 2026.
Why are we doing that?
He won one Power Five home game in 2025.
He’s won one P5 home game since October 2023.
UK's recruiting is awful, barely hovering in the top 15 of a 16 team SEC.
Bottom-3 SEC passing in 9 of 11 seasons
Bottom-3 SEC scoring in 8 of 11 seasons
Fewer than five SEC wins over teams with winning records
0–13 vs. Georgia
Passed by Vandy, USC, Mizzou, and every "SEC" rival.
If Stoops beats UofL Barnhart isn’t paying $38 million to fire a bowl-eligible coach. I get it. But nobody should pretend Stoops is turning this around. Recruiting is bleak, another portal rebuild looms, and nothing suggests 2026 will be any different. He risks wasting Boley.
If Kentucky closes at 5–7 again, it’s beyond time to rip the band-aid off and bring real momentum to the program.
If Indiana and Vanderbilt can compete for the CFP (and more) so can UK with the right coach.
And that's not Mark Stoops, and hasn't been for years.
I don’t want to hear it from a single person saying Kentucky doesn’t have the resources to become good. If VANDY can do it we most definitely can do it. Unreal
Kentucky fans truly suck. It’s insane how many people are calling for Popes head after a shaky start to his second seasons. I get it if this was us not making the tournament but come on it’s 5 games in.
Maybe it’s just me being picky but I’m trying to see Mark Pope chew some people out on the sideline at certain points. This no emotion style frustrates me even more.
NIL has ruined this there is no more playing for the name on the front anymore. Some schools just get lucky and have a ground that plays well together. It’s a sad thing for college sports
