Inspiring to see the rich Math learning at Coach's Corner in Gr. 6 at Coronation School last week. Thank you for the warm welcome Principal Baer (looking classy 👌) and VP White. Supt Chatha & I loved the welcome sign. 😃 Go Cool Cats! ❤️
🏑 What an incredible final! Two @wrdsb teams battled it out in the OFSAA Girls Field Hockey Championship—Bluevale vs. Waterloo-Oxford. Congratulations to Waterloo-Oxford for bringing home the gold with a hard-fought 1-0 victory! 🥇👏 #WRDSB#OFSAA#GirlsFieldHockey

@TheMathGuru The convo worked well when handing back assessments, but today the levels on the learning pit didn’t feel right. I’ve removed them for now as we’re still in the learning process. I’ll add them back with next steps feedback whenever assessments are returned
Handed back assessments, framing them as snapshots of learning, not grades. We’ve discussed intelligent vs. basic failure & the ‘learning pit’—Level 1 means you’re deep in new learning. Does anyone else use this approach? Thoughts on student reactions?

Simply as human beings we are the same. And the 8 billion people alive today will only survive by acknowledging that we belong to one human family. This is how we create a truly peaceful world—by keeping in mind what we all have in common and being helpful to each other. This can be our #PeaceDayChallenge
@AmyCEdmondson I read your book this summer & am creating resources for elementary students on intelligent failure, basic failure, & psychological safety. Tried the “electric” maze today with great success! Would love to collaborate, get feedback, or pick your brain.
You've set up the environment, given entry tickets, and created groups, what’s next? Use tracking sheets from @wrdsb long range math plans to monitor S understanding and plan next problem sets. Watch this video to learn how! 📋📈 https://t.co/otlCkLpzYy
