@Mr_EPhelps's 8th grade Design Tech class is working on occupational and physical therapy tools through 3D printing. Thank you to the WISD's Jamie Mayo for bringing her expertise and some cool 3D printed tools to share with our students for inspiration!
I never ask students why they are late. I ask if they are ok and if they need anything. Then I tell them I'm glad they are here. (Yeah, I mark them tardy in the computer for record keeping. But that's not what might be urgent for the student at that moment.) #waledchat
Imagine: This is an ad in which firemen express gratitude for a payday loan app because it allows him to buy a truck and fire hoses.
Or: This is an ad in which a surgeon expresses gratitude for a payday loan app because it allows her to buy a scalpel.
In no other industry.....
Winter break is coming; many of us looking forward to it, many of our students not so much. But don't walk with guilt. Use your privilege of 2 weeks off to recharge for the young people who look to you daily. We don't rest bc we hate the struggle. We rest bc we stay ready.
@GaryRGrayJr Having multiple EDJI (Education Diversity Justice Inclusion) days where students lead multi-grade, including teachers, groups in discussions and activities
