George McMillan, Harris Federation, says teachers were burning out marking books for hours every week.

So he scrapped it.

The result?

“I hadn't traditionally marked Year 11 books for two years... and I had some of the best results in the department.”

@luv4scfc Isn't that always the way? 'Wasn't too bad' sounds like he navigated it well though 👍 I like the format of the new paper. I think it gives students that prepare well a great chance. I like all the poems tbh 😂, but I think there was much to explore in the one that came up 📝😁

Most children do not read books anymore. If you get your child to read just ONE BOOK PER MONTH (canonical, classic) from age 10-18, they will be so far ahead of their peers by the time they reach college.
