You can be a really good teacher and have strong behaviour management but still be struggling with behaviour in your class, don’t be too proud to ask for help.

@richar32032 @MissRCarr9 6 weeks is a ludicrously long break from work. Maybe I'm 'old scholl' but I find it hard to believe a day can't be found to get a classroom ready for the year ahead. Very familiar with limiting cognitive load and the unnecessary time displays take
@MissRCarr9 Throw it away. One of the absolute joys of being an NQT was getting my first classroom and setting it up. With a window of 6 weeks to get it done, I think it a a real shame if people see this as a negative experience.
