The worst part about “mental health” takes are that so many people “don’t know what they don’t know” & speak on what they think they know!!

Until spending time with someone who deals with specific mental health issues & gaining a truer understanding of what this really entails, you can’t comprehend the levels of it (and even then, I’m sure those of us who don’t struggle with them still can’t fully understand)!

It’s sad that people who don’t get it are the ones who create a negative stigma around it, making many afraid to share & get the support they need!

It’s disgusting that there are people in this world who believe anyone who has enough courage to say, ‘I’m not OK, I need to step away for my mental health,’ is worth mocking or criticizing. None of us know the private battles people are fighting each day just to go to work. These attitudes contribute to stigma and keep others from seeking help.
