What a wonderful day welcoming our future middle school students from William Penn, Central, and Mt. Vernon! It was exciting to see so many smiling faces as our 5th graders got a glimpse of what awaits them next year.
Thank you to our school counselors, students, staff, PTOs, & families for helping make today such a special experience. Middle school is going to be an amazing place for these students, and we are excited to welcome the Class of 2033 next year!

To the INCREDIBLE staff of Elizabeth Forward Middle School,
It is Teacher Appreciation Week, and I want to take a moment to recognize the heart, dedication, and impact each of you brings to this building every single day.
What you do goes far beyond lessons and standards. You create a place where students feel seen, supported, and inspired. You show up on the hard days, celebrate the small wins, and never lose sight of why this work matters. The relationships you build and the care you give shape not only academic growth, but the confidence and character of every student who walks through these doors.
I’ve had the privilege for the last 17 years of seeing firsthand the passion, teamwork, and resilience that define this staff. IT IS SPECIAL. It’s rare. And it makes a lasting difference. The culture that we have built together, in EFMS is very special.
Thank you for everything you do. For your dedication, your flexibility, your patience, and your unwavering commitment to kids. Elizabeth Forward Middle School is a better place because of YOU.
Wishing you a well-deserved Teacher Appreciation Week.
Love,
Dr. Martell
Happy School Lunch Hero Day to our AMAZING EFMS cafeteria team!
Thank you for showing up early, working hard, and always serving us with kindness and a smile. You do so much more than prepare meals. You create a welcoming space and help keep everyone fueled and ready to learn.
We appreciate your dedication, your positivity, and all the care you put into everything you do. EFMS wouldn’t be the same without you. ❤️🤍🖤
@EFMSWarriors Happy Principal day Dr. Martell! Thank you for all you do for me, the office team, teachers, staff, students, parents, community, and making EFMS the BEST PLACE TO WORK!
Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students had an exciting and well-earned experience as part of their Coin Wars reward! 🎉
Students were visited by Southeast Regional EMS for a special meet-and-greet with paramedics Mr. John, Mr. Ryan, and Ms. Kelsey. During their visit, they got a firsthand look at what it’s like to work as an EMT and learned about the important role these professionals play in saving lives every day.
From exploring emergency vehicles to discovering the life-saving equipment paramedics use, students asked great questions and gained a deeper appreciation for this vital career.
A big thank you to the Southeast Regional EMS team for taking the time to educate and inspire our students! 🚑💙
🏈 Any student interested in playing EFMS Football in the 26-27 school year should attend this mtg. on Thurs. 4/16 @ 2pm in the cafeteria. Coach Potts will be here talking to all students who are interested in playing Football! 🏈
