This 👇 is obvious to teachers.
Libertarians will continue to say ‘leave it up to parents’ and they will watch their country fall apart.
The future of any country is its children.
Keep kids immersed in screens and it is game over for the country.
@ChemmySki my wife loves the multi coloured mittens you wore for this Sunday’s episode 9th. Can you tell me where I could surprise her with some from. Thanks she loves your outfits
He absolutely nails it. He encapsulates the mood of most people in the UK. 🎯
“We end up with economically illiterate people in the government. There are not fit for office. This is our money. And I’m sick of being asked to pay more and more for less and less.”
My open letter to the Education Secretary @bphillipsonMP
Many teachers and school leaders share my concerns with regard to her decisions but are scared to say.
If you can find it in you, please RT.
My letter is also here: https://t.co/phAiybAov5
@MelJStride@Matt_VickersMP How about the conservatives actually putting in an appearance as some opposition? Completely absent since new leader appointed. Have to start standing up and speaking out please before its too late
Looking for info from any schools that currently use tablets, laptops with students on an every lesson basis for Maths. My school does but we have some issues and looking for advice from anyone who feels it’s works really well. 1/2
New study shows negative effects of using screens as 'digital pacifiers' for children.
➡️ "Children who began using screen media devices earlier or who spent more time engaging with mobile devices displayed lower self-regulation"
➡️ "while digital emotion regulation can be effective in the short term, this strategy may hinder child development of self-regulatory skills in the long term, leading to poorer effortful control and anger management."
There appears to be a vicious cycle here: kids who thrown tantrums easily are given phones/screens to pacify them which in turn leads them to be more likely to throw a tantrum in the future so they are given more time on a device.

@norchcity All these people who say just give pens out ? It’s this lowering of basic expectations and responsibility that is the reason why schools are having so many problems. Why is it unreasonable to expect students to have correct equipment and look after it? Why question this ??

@Strickomaster Behaviour has now become so different it's scary. A lot of this if not all is due to what happens outside of school& parents approach to behaviour. Children are being told they can do no wrong. The education system will never solve this as it is too big a problem. Poor teachers.
