Date explained that the production team focused on making Naruto successful in Japan instead of constantly worrying about what international audiences wanted.

Date said he wanted Naruto to remain true to its original identity, rather than changing elements of the anime for different markets.

Steam is on track to have its biggest year ever, with estimated revenue of more than $20 billion in 2026.

According to Alinea Analytics, Steam generated around $15 billion in revenue during the first eight months of the year, putting it on pace to beat its 2025 record of $19.9 billion a 15% increase

A big part of Steam's success comes from older games. Around 83% of the top 1,000 games by revenue were released before 2026, showing that players are still spending money on established titles rather than just new releases.

Steam has also added around 19,000 new games between January and August, showing just how much the platform continues to expand.

GTA 6 won’t achieve the same Big Five GOTY sweep as Baldur’s Gate 3 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in the 2026/27 awards season.

The Golden Joystick Awards take place on November 11, eight days before GTA 6 launches on November 19. The game won’t be released in time and can’t compete this year.

The Big Five awards are:
- Golden Joystick Awards
- The Game Awards
- DICE Awards
- GDC Awards
- BAFTA Games Awards

Baldur’s Gate 3 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won all five in a single awards season. GTA 6 must wait until the 2027 Golden Joystick Awards, so it can’t do the same in one season.
