🙃 Walked into my office today and discovered my son apparently chose violence against my monitor.
Just look at this thing. 😭
I’m stressed. 😮💨😂 But there are two little silver linings here:
First, I apparently have $200 in rewards points, so shoutout to Past Carlos for unknowingly looking out for Present Carlos. 😂
Second, I checked my renters insurance and I believe I have a computer equipment endorsement that may cover accidental damage like this, subject to the policy terms and deductible of $500. Which it’s like a $2500 monitor so 😮💨😮💨😮💨 So now I get to experience the claims process from the other side of the desk. 😂
Insurance agent by day.
Insurance claimant by night. 🥲
And THIS is why I tell people to actually know what’s included in their policy. Sometimes the coverage you forgot you had becomes very relevant when your toddler decides your monitor needed a new design. 🙃
I’ll keep y’all updated on whether the claim is covered.
For now…
Son: 1
Monitor: 0
Dad: stressed 😮💨
Rewards points: $200 😂
It’s your friend, Mr. Then.
A better now with Then. 🫶🏾
😂 Nothing is wrong. I promise.
I’m just planting the seed so the next time you hear…
🚗 Insurance
💰 Taxes
📈 Credit
…your brain automatically goes:
“I got a Guy.” 😂
And hopefully that guy is your friend, Mr. Then. 🤝🏾
Consider this my completely subtle, definitely-not-marketing reminder. 🌱😂
Also did anyone else notice what happened in the video?
Drop a comment below if you caught it! 🤣🤣🤣
A better now with Then. 🫶🏾
The latest episode of @Xmenofficial X Men 97 had me thinking… these superheroes need more than powers. 😂
Bad credit. Back taxes. Destroyed cars. Property damage every other Tuesday. 😭
At this point, they don’t need another mutant on the team.
They need Mr. Then. 😂
Saving the world is cool, but somebody still has to handle the taxes, credit, insurance, and business strategy for the X-Men… Cause Professor X is not cutting it…
No spoilers, but if you watched the latest episode… you already know. 🔥👀
A better now with Then.

Turns out the only thing I was guilty of… was taking care of my clients. 😂
Whether it’s lowering an insurance premium, helping someone keep more of what they earn at tax time, improving a credit score, or getting paperwork done the right way, I take pride in going above and beyond.
If that’s a crime… I guess you got me. 🚔🤷🏽♂️
What would they “arrest” you for?

Most people fall into one of these 3 categories:
 Writing off things they shouldn’t
❌ Missing deductions completely
❌ Guessing and hoping
That’s how you overpay… or create problems.
You don’t need to guess. You need a strategy.
DM “TAX” and let’s do it right.

You ever heard of catfishing… now get ready for tax fishing 🎣😂
Tax fishing is when your “tax guy” promises you a crazy refund…
then disappears when it’s time to explain it 👀
“You getting 10k back bro trust me” 🤝
No breakdown
No explanation
Just vibes
Then boom 💥
Letter from the IRS
Now everybody quiet
Or they “find deductions” out of nowhere…
“You got a dog? That’s security” 🐶
“You drive? That’s 100% business” 🚗
“You eat? Write it off” 🍽️😂
Sounds good until it’s time to prove it
That’s tax fishing 🎣
Looks good upfront
Feels good in the moment
Comes back to bite you later
Real tax prep is simple:
Know your numbers
Understand your return
File it correctly
Stay compliant
No guessing
No made-up write-offs
No surprises later
If your refund sounds too good to be true…
it usually is
Let’s do it the right way
Upload your documents
We’ll walk you through it
You’ll actually understand what’s going on
No tax fishing over here 🎣🚫
Just real numbers, done right 💼📊

🚨 Teaching my wife about household withholding 😂🇩🇴
My wife is originally from the Dominican Republic, so she’s still learning how things work here in the U.S.
The other day I decided to explain taxes the best way I know how… with a real-life example.
She took care of our one-year-old all week 👶🏽
Cooking, cleaning, mom duties, everything.
So I told her I’d pay her for the week.
Me: Babe, I’m paying you $50 for the week.
I hand her $20 💵
Her: Wait… you said $50.
Me: Correct.
Her: Then why is this $20?
Me: Household withholding.
Her: What does that mean?
Me: I kept $30 of your money.
She pauses.
Her: But that’s MY money.
Me: It was your money.
Her: ¿Cómo que era mío? 🤨
Me: Household taxes.
Her: ¿Pero ven acá… qué es lo que tú inventaste ahora? 😂
Me: Household infrastructure. 🏠
Her: What infrastructure?
Me: You know… the roof over your head, the hallway you walk through, the door locks that keep strangers out.
Her: So tú me estás cobrando por el pasillo ahora??
Me: No no… I’m charging you for access to the hallway.
She points at our one-year-old 👶🏽
Her: And what about him?
Me: Oh he’s already participating in the system.
Her: ¿Pero él ni habla todavía!
Me: Exactly. Perfect taxpayer. 😭
Now she wants her money back.
Her: So when do I get the $30?
Me: Next year.
Her: ¿EL AÑO QUE VIENE?!
Me: Yes. After you file a return.
Her: So I tell you how much I made?
Me: Yes.
Her: But YOU paid me.
Me: Yes.
Her: So you already know.
Me: Correct.
Her: Entonces ¿para qué tengo que decírtelo?
Me: Compliance. 📄
She looks at me like I’ve completely lost my mind.
Her: So if I do the paperwork right I get my money back?
Me: Maybe.
Her: ¿Cómo que maybe?
Me: If too much was withheld.
Her: And if not?
Me: You might owe more.
She just stared at me.
Her: So let me understand…
You take my money…
You say it’s for the house…
Then next year I ask if I can have some back?
Me: Exactly.
She looks at the baby.
Looks back at me.
Her: Mira Carlos… en RD eso tiene otro nombre.
Me: What?
Her: Eso es un tumbe. 💀😂
Me: Here we call it household withholding.
Welcome to America 🇺🇸
Income matters.

Putting you on Early this year!
You don’t need a lawyer or thousands of dollars to start a revocable trust 💼📄
You need clarity and the right steps.
Here’s how to create a revocable living trust for free, broken down so you can actually do it 👇🏾
A revocable trust lets you control your assets while you’re alive 🧠
You decide what happens later 📌
You can change it anytime 🔁
You stay in charge 🔐
🟢 Step 1. Decide if a revocable trust fits you
You want control while alive
You want to avoid probate
You want flexibility
If yes, keep going ➡️
🟢 Step 2. Choose your people 👥
Grantor: you
Trustee: you
Successor trustee: someone you trust
Beneficiaries: who gets what
Be specific. Vague language creates problems ⚠️
🟢 Step 3. Use a free trust template 📄
Search “revocable living trust template” from reputable estate planning or legal education sites
Avoid random PDFs
Read every line before filling it out 👀
🟢 Step 4. Name the trust 🏷️
Use a clear name like:
Your Name Revocable Living Trust
Include the date 🗓️
🟢 Step 5. Get an EIN for the trust. Free 🆓
Go to https://t.co/1L4A6G8Glk
Search “Apply for EIN Online”
Select “Trust”
Choose “Revocable trust”
You get the EIN instantly ⚡
No fee. No third party needed.
This EIN helps when opening trust bank accounts or titling assets 🏦
🟢 Step 6. Complete the trust document ✍️
Use exact legal names
Clearly state trustee powers
Spell out distributions in plain language
No assumptions
🟢 Step 7. Get it notarized for free 🖊️
Call your bank. Most notarize for free if you’re a customer 🏦
Bring valid ID
Do not sign until the notary tells you to ⛔
Other free options include local libraries 📚, town halls 🏛️, or community centers.
🟢 Step 8. Fund the trust using Schedule A 📑
This is where the trust actually comes to life.
Schedule A is where you list what the trust owns:
🏠 Real estate
🏦 Bank accounts
🏢 Business interests
🚗 Vehicles
📈 Investments
If it’s not on Schedule A, it’s not in the trust ❌
A trust with no assets does nothing.
🟢 Step 9. Store and communicate 🔒
Keep a digital copy
Keep a physical copy
Tell your successor trustee where it’s stored
📌 Important note
This is a solid starting point for simple estates.
Complex situations may need professional review.
If you’d rather not do this alone, I can customize a revocable trust for you, help you properly complete Schedule A, and coordinate notarization through a third-party notary for a fee ✊🏾

I saw someone post on Facebook about losing everything.
Clothes. Furniture. Memories. Gone.
Someone tagged me and asked if I could help. I wish the answer was yes.
But it was already too late.
They didn’t have renter’s insurance.
Her upstairs neighbor’s apartment caught fire. The fire spread. She lost everything inside her unit.
No renter’s insurance.
No coverage for her belongings.
No easy fix.
The landlord only insures the building, not what you own inside it.
Suing a neighbor sounds good on paper, but it’s full of “ifs.”
Do they have insurance? Were they negligent? Will it take years? Maybe.
Here’s the hard truth.
Renter’s insurance is relatively inexpensive. Often around $10 a month depending on coverage.
If you bundle it with your auto policy, it can be even less. Sometimes close to $0 net.
I know $10-$30 matters in this economy.
But $10 can either be a meal today or the difference between starting over and having nothing tomorrow.
If you’re reading this and you rent, please don’t wait until after something happens.
I can’t help you then.
