What I Do for a Living
I’m a flight dispatcher. Most of my friends think I just sit in an office and hand out flight plans like a travel agent, but it’s way more than that.
I’m basically the co-pilot who never leaves the ground. Together with the captain up in the cockpit, I share full legal responsibility for every single flight my airline operates. If something goes wrong, we’re both on the hook. That’s how seriously the job is taken.

@LauraLoomer Israel, a Jewish state, has been dropping bombs on Gaza and Lebanon, a Muslim and Christian states, in violation of the ceasefire all along. But you want to gaslight the Muslims for retaliating?
You are a disgrace!

Lamine is experiencing an accelerated growth within few years, even months.
At 15, he was amazing and promising.
At 16, so amazing and breaking records;
At 17, exceptionally amazing and decisive;
At 18, lethal, decisive, making history and added maturity.
Lamine is a generational player who is capable of marking an era.
Hence, winning Ballon d ore in the future will be like winning the player of the month to him.
From here, he will go straight to lecturing other nations about accountability. He can’t stand being held accountable by the media. “President Xi is a dictator”
Trump today claimed he “didn’t promise anything” about NO NEW WARS.
So here’s a second compilation showing FIFTY times during his campaign where he PROMISED exactly that.
More and more positive news from the gallant Nigerian forces as they record success after success in the fight against insurgency.
Eliminate all the arrested terrorists. No more repentance and integration for any terrorist.

OPERATION HADIN KAI EXECUTES UNPRECEDENTED INTELLIGENCE-LED RESCUE OPERATION, FREES 360 ABDUCTEES FROM JAS STRONGHOLD IN THE MANDARA MOUNTAINS
In one of the most significant hostage rescue operations conducted in the North East Theatre in recent times, troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), comprising Special Forces and troops of Sector 1, have successfully rescued 360 abductees from a heavily fortified Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) enclave deep within the Mandara Mountains area of southern Borno State. The operation, which was the culmination of weeks of painstaking intelligence preparation, covert reconnaissance, and operational planning, resulted in the safe recovery of men, women, and children who had been held in captivity under harsh conditions after being abducted from several communities, particularly within the Ngoshe axis. The successful rescue underscores the growing operational reach, intelligence dominance, and tactical superiority of OPHK in denying terrorists freedom of action and protecting vulnerable populations across the theatre.
The operation was initiated following the receipt of credible and corroborated intelligence from multiple sources indicating the precise location of the hostages and the existence of an elaborate insurgent support network sustaining the enclave. OPHK intelligence elements subsequently launched an extensive target development process involving the integration of Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and persistent Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations conducted through unmanned aerial systems and long-range reconnaissance patrols. Through sustained intelligence collection and analysis, commanders developed a comprehensive understanding of the terrain, insurgent disposition, defensive arrangements, movement patterns, and the condition of the abductees. This intelligence-driven approach enabled the force to accurately map the objective area, identify vulnerabilities within the terrorist network, and significantly reduce risks to the hostages during the rescue mission.
This coming from an ally of the United State of America and Israel.
While castigating the Iranian government for their crackdown on mischievous protesters and mosad agents, I am sure they will downplay this act of terror on free press just because it is from their ally.
What a doublestandard
Absolutely true 💯.
The sanctions have actually accelerated the world towards realisation and determination to apply necessary means essential to escape and brake the shackles of the United States' economy bullying and slavery.
De-dollarisation, petrodollar dismantling are but few of the solutions to this.
@Mr_mutiu@TheGridPost Successive govts in d military days didnt care, that era did us dirty developmental wise.
So correcting them now nationwide is going to cost over $100b.
But it might be cheaper if each states look into solving der power problem using private investors.
@Mr_mutiu@TheGridPost Lol...it was the failure of proper planning frm past govt...Ngr is a planned state structure wise bt does the authorities at every level of govt do a follow up according to the plan?
Correcting the transmission system shld av happened long time ago wen we werent this populated
Your statement "weaknesses that already exit in our power system ", my question here is: who is responsible for solving and strengthening those weaknesses? What is the responsibility of the government in doing away with them?
Of all verbal commitment made by the government, why hasn't these weaknesses been solved?
Contrary to popular belief, nobody at the DisCo is sitting somewhere saying “rain don start, off am” 😅
From an engineering standpoint, rain itself is usually not what makes your supply dissappear.
It just exposes weaknesses that already exist in our power system.
It is more common in Nigeria because we rely heavily on overhead lines, maintenance is inconsistent in some areas, vegetation control is weak, and the BIGGEST OF ALL- restoration
is sometimes at snail speed.
Countries like the U.S., South Africa, and Canada also experience rain-related outages but their systems are generally more resilient, with faster fault isolation and quicker restoration.
Here is what typically happens behind the scenes:
1. Tree contact with power lines:
Most distribution lines are overhead and pass through areas with limited vegetation control.
During storms, wind can push tree branches into 11kV or 33kV lines, causing short circuits or earth faults. Once detected, the system automatically trips to protect equipment.
2. Aging or weak infrastructure
Transformers, insulators, jumper connections, and cable joints that work under normal dry conditions can become vulnerable when moisture increases.
Rain doesn’t create the fault ), it often worsens existing weaknesses, especially on poorly maintained feeders.
3. Lightning and voltage surges
Thunderstorms produce electrical surges that can destabilize the network. Protection systems isolate these faults quickly to prevent damage to transformers and substations.
4. Automatic protection systems:
Substations use protective relays and circuit breakers. When abnormal current is detected, feeders trip automatically to prevent fires, equipment damage, or larger system failures.
You are suggesting the abandonment of the already existing but bad infrastructure then the state (plus private sector) should build a new one. How long do think that is going to take? What will be the cost on the comsumers?
Compare to a long-term overhauling plan of the existing infrastructure by the FGN, splitting the cost across several years and protecting the continuation through enacted law.
Which do you think will be cheaper?
@lazzdizz@_theBello@TheGridPost Is there distinction between "generating" and "distributing"?
The power grid is more of distribution than generation.
Do you see the difference and the need for different angle of solutions
@lazzdizz@TheGridPost Assuming your cost estimation is accurate and your suggestion that each state should solve their local power problems.
The national grid is a Federal property, where will the FGN chip in?
So whatever you're facing, call upon Allah with his names. If you need rizq ( Sustenance ) , call Ar-Razzaq.
If you need help, call Al-Wakil.
If you need guidance, call Al-Hadi.
These names are not just words. They are a connection between you and Allah.
Learn them, reflect on them, and watch how your life changes.
What if I told you every problem you have has a name of Allah connected to it?
Allah has 99 beautiful names. Each one describing his perfection, his mercy, his power. And when you truly understand them, your entire life changes.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Allah has 99 names. Whoever understands and acts upon them will enter Jannah." (Sahih Bukhari)
These names are not just to memorize. They are to be lived by and to call upon Allah through them.
