@megwardwrites I had the same question some months ago. It is (probably) explained by the fact that readers you get through social media can read your articles without actually being members. Those readings count as "reads" but not as income.
Has anybody else been struggling with @Medium's new system of writing comments/responses (desktop browsers)? What's that all about? The older was clunky enough, but this is just intolerable. Why reinvent the wheel?
“I speak honestly about my sexuality as an act of rebellion. As an act of healing. I believe in normalizing female sexual desire, female sexual expression, and the naked female body in all its endless iterations.” — @YaelWolfeHowls
“The Effortless White #Woman is a mother—she is not too barren or too busy with work to fulfill her feminine obligations—yet her children seem to raise themselves, to self-maintain, like potted cactuses” — @sadydoyle https://t.co/hNHhv5YB5T #feminism
"But I also know that #blackface will not stop because White people have a fascination with our #skin and our bodies. It’s not so much that they want to be us, but they want to wear us"—@MorganJerkins in @zoramag https://t.co/tVnVWZy1PO #race#racism#tradition
"It’s become increasingly clear that life as a #woman is dirty, stressful, unglamorous business, and to think that you can rise above with a little meditation and a juice cleanse has become laughable” — @sadydoyle https://t.co/hNHhv5YB5T #feminism#NewAge#lifestyle
My newest on @Medium: "Slut-shaming [goes] deeper than an image of #naked-ness or #sex. The power to #slut#shame someone comes less from the material itself [...] and more from the material as 'proof' of that person’s hidden 'slutty nature'"—MM #abuse

An oldie that a friend reader just reminded me of. "If I have to think about my dead grandma or Joseph Mengele in order not to come, then I’d rather just come right now"—MM https://t.co/erWADYQ1vx #porn#feminism#sex#sexuality#couples
"The term ‘#career#woman’ doesn’t celebrate women. It’s designed to categorize #women who don’t fit into the traditional narrative, the ‘norm’–– that is, to put family first"—Kyra Krishna in @writelikeagrrl #feminism#patriarchy
