Aside from what is required for professional reasons, I find it harder and harder to be here as long as it looks like across between an excl. strip club and a neo-nazi sub-group.🙄

John Oliver, "The Conservatives have had 5 different prime ministers over the past 14 years.. It's worth briefly revisiting all of them"
1⃣"David Cameron.. Austerity.. Brexit"
2⃣"Theresa May.. More austerity, two child cap"
3⃣"Boris Johnson.. His time in office was a shambles.. Britain left the EU on the same day of the first case of the corona virus was announced.. His handling of covid was an unmitigated disaster"
"For the record there is only one actual f*ckpig in Downing Street.. David Cameron.. As a student at Oxford he once put his d*ck in a dead pig's mouth"
4⃣"Liz Truss who had the shortest tenure of any British prime minister in history.. Her budget full of tax cuts for the rich which caused a mini economic crisis"
5⃣"Sunak the wet.. A man who literally does not have the sense to get in from the rain"
"Brexit created red tape that has grown exponentially.. Trading goods with the EU is now so onerous that many businesses have chosen to relocate into mainland Europe which is not good news for the UK"
"Brexit is estimated to be costing the economy about £100 billion a year"
"While Brexit makes the news, austerity is the legacy of Cameron and his successors because it has in so many ways obliterated public services"
"Take the NHS, years of under investment have left it gutted and understaffed.. Wait lists for NHS treatment have exploded.. More than 7.5 million waiting for non emergency treatment, that's over 2.5 million when the Conservatives came in in 2010"
All hail @StuartBroad8 - an amazing career, a superb sporting contribution, mindset and passion - and the best bowling spell of all time at Trent Bridge 2015.
The likes of him we’ll be lucky to ever see again. All hail 🙌🏏👏🏴
@billmcintyre I think it’s harsh to blame Stokes for the late declaration. He waited to allow Jonny to get his century but also to let Jimmy have a home ground swansong.
I forgive him for that sentimentality. Along with wishing cricket to be more entertaining, that’s very “spirit of cricket”.
@billmcintyre Mainly only in the 4th test though - all fielders on the fence etc. They knew that if they played for the draw then job done. That was always the safe play. Kind of hard to argue with as a strategy.
Will be interesting to see how cautious they’ll be in the 5th with urn safe. 🤔
@billmcintyre Yes, “Bazball” has definitely evolved a lot in the last few weeks. It’s become more pragmatic than the one-gear, go-hard-or-go-home first iteration. It’s essentially now more just about a really positive mindset. It’s actually pretty Aussie.
@billmcintyre Yes agree. I loved the declaration when he made it, really set the tone for the series…but ultimately he left about 70-80 runs on the field perhaps which would have won the test.
Entertainment vs results is the philosophical debate of our time! Prefer to have both 😆
With much of the Med on fire along with Canada and the US, and extreme flooding in India, Korea and Italy, most responsible leaders would double down on #ClimateAction.
Not #Sunak. Now is when he mulls ditching it…purely to win a few denier votes. #ToriesUnfitToGovern#GTTO
Talking “pot calling the kettle black” tonite is Greg Hands, speculating that people don’t think Labour are a “competent party of government.”
From the #Tories?
In 13 years it’s hard to point to a single shred of competency.
It’s been a relentless sh!tshow of f&ckwitery. #GTTO
What is it about Farrage that makes the Tory party tremble in fear every time he moans about something and turn cartwheels in order to please him. 🤷♂️
Why has this pompous gammon got such a hold over the governing of this country. He makes “Great” Britain a laughing stock. #GTTO
Millions beg the #Tory Govt daily for mortgage relief, better pay, for NHS dental care, for inflation relief. Nothing.
A moany, racist gammon belly aches about losing his bank account and they move heaven and earth in a heartbeat to meet his needs.

@grantshapps@Keir_Starmer I’d send you an invoice Shapps, but the cost of 13yrs of Tory Govt is incalculable.
From Austerity cuts to Brexit madness to Covid waste/corruption as well as general Tory ineptitude, negligence & complacency it’s impossible to put a number on what #ToryCorruption has cost me.
