@mrdarthdarcy @MFDAMO Cinema used to be the most mainstream artform accessible to all. They are now making it elitist. Before IMAX used to be the enhanced format of the standard format with more info. Now IMAX is like the main format, rest are like poorly composed version with essential info crop out.

@PsyOp_Langley @luckilyenough That was the case before but now the directors are making the compositions keeping IMAX in mind, so in other formats most of the essential infos are getting cut off. Recent example is Dune films. The IMAX version is far superior, other versions are not properly composed.

@legalrealist @DumDumDarren @CinemaaNow @DiscussingFilm Avatar was shot like that. No matter in what format you watch you will get a good composition. It's just that they don't want to do that. Cinema is more like becoming elite's medium just like modern art.
