5. 3D snow sculptures
Everyone can make snow spheres (snowballs).
What other 3D objects are you able to create? A cylinder? Cone? Cube? Cuboid? Square based pyramid? Triangular prism?
Create a giant collection of 3D maths snow objects. @maddiston_ps

Measure its circumference – this is likely to be an approximation, unless you decide to cut your snowball in half to work out the radius.
Weigh it to find out the mass.
The volume of water that is collected as the snowball melts.

2. Check the thermometer 🌡
How cold is the temperature today? 🌨 Look at maximum and minimum temperatures on a thermometer. Plot the temperatures on a graph each day of a snowy week. Take a photo 📸 to match the weather outside. @maddiston_ps

In fresh snow, you have one-minute to make as many snowballs as you can. What tactics work best? Does it make a difference if you are wearing gloves? Challenge someone at home to a race. @maddiston_ps

Thought I’d share these again-might be useful for anyone looking for remote learning art tasks.All students need is a piece of paper & pencil,and each drawing could take about 30 mins to complete.Also means less screen time for students which is important.Feel free to use🙂
