@JustinParmenter The article mentions reports on "idle time" that indicate a student possible wasnt trying their best. Are test taking habits developmentally appropriate in K-3rd graders?
@CarteretJill@GaringerWildcat Go to the @TalkingPointsEd website to get started. You can download instructions to send to families in multiple languages as well! I like to send them home with the syllabus or have families sign up during curriculum night!
A1) Anna Keith from @GaringerWildcat I teach Earth/Env Sci.
Lots of teachers at our school use TalkingPoints to communicate with families who speak a different language! #BTLNNC
@Mrs_Schimizzi@GaringerWildcat@TalkingPointsEd It's very similar to remind. You can program numbers into the program and select the preferred language. Then you type a message in English and it sends it in the preferred language!
Impressed with @MrsAKeith as she facilitates a group session on student inquiry for her @BTLNMeck peers. I enjoy seeing her grow as a leader during her journey with #BTLNNC as @theNCForum supports teacher leadership and student engagement
Having a great morning digging into inquiry in the classeoom and finding ways to encourage student struggle in their inquiry journey #BTLNNC@BTLNMeck@theNCForum@GaringerWildcat

@CMSBTSuccess#cmsbtchat I started having them track their scores on exit tickets. Then they know which areas they need to focus on when studying. I also have them reflect on what they did well and what they can improve each unit
I use daily exit tickets to identify immediate areas to address. Relooping in warm ups or in small assignments. My kids also really like Kahoot! #cmsbtchat
@tdcreech@LB_Parke@CMSBTSuccess I think Canvas also has a mastery feature where you can input standards in your subject area but I havent played around with that yet!
@CMSBTSuccess#cmsbtchat I feel like when I read student responses to reading prompts I get a better idea of where they are missing details than which questions they miss on a multiple choice exam.
