In MasteryConnect, I created a multiplication CFA using my own item bank and assessed my students. My main takeaway is that I feel like I am now very skilled in MC, and can continue to create item bank items!

Today I complimented students on their reading by telling them "You're the type of reader who..." This is a strategy I learned how to use at reading conferences labsite. It went well! I encouraged them to keep it up.

I planned and used a structured conversation in my class this morning. We looked at a sea pic, and used sentence stems to turn and talk about what we noticed and wondered. They wondered about that bird lol

I spent the day teaching from different locations in my classroom. It changed my perspective because I didn't feel stuck in my teacher table corner. I was able to make sure the kids were engaged!

After our Nearpod lesson, I used the quick launch tool to ask the kids, "What would you want to eat in a food eating contest?" Their answers included lettuce, crawfish, dino nuggies, and humans 😂

I created a nearpod lesson that had a video with embedded questions. I made the lesson using a 3 act task, which I learned from @gfletchy ! It was about hot dogs, and the kids LOVED it :)

Today during science, we used a total physical response to help us remember the meaning for "waning" and "waxing" for our moon phases! This helps students visualize the meanings.
