I applied for a job last week and they rejected me almost immediately. Three days later, the owner of the company emailed me asking why I hadn't shown up for work. I thought he had the wrong person. I replied: "I think there's a mistake. Human Resources sent me a rejection on Tuesday, that's exactly why I didn't go." He asked me to forward him the message. A few minutes later he called me.
