@Jane_Arthur_@NUthmani@DrSueChapman Thanks, Jane. It is something I'm investigating whilst running the supply gauntlet! Had hoped to bring my Maths passion to primary but looks like I will have to think again.
So happy to secure a position in Primary 2 for this session. Looking forward to working in this stage and enjoying browsing picture books to share with my new class! This one was recommended during #UoEPGDEp and is a beautiful, mysterious story which my P4 class loved!
@BarbaraDixon__ Fellow twin Mum here. So delighted for you all. The NICU days are hard and juggling life snd attachment. Hoping they enjoy family time together very soon !
That's a wrap. #UoEPGDEp in 2023 and completion of my probation year and full registration in 2024. It truly is the best job. Exhausting, overwhelming, frustrating at times but also fun and most of all a huge privilege!
I will never forget my P4 class of 2024. 'Go smash, P5!'
After much to-ing and fro-ing I have now confirmed my probationer Practitioner Enquiry question. 'How effective is whole class feedback in improving writing skills amongst P4 learners?'
I would appreciate your thoughts on this, positive and negative or links to further reading.
My classroom buzzed with chatter, debates, questions and ideas this afternoon. P4 were challenged to make a bridge today as part of their IDL topic. The were given tape, twine, straws and elastic bands and I was delighted with the team work and enthusiasm. #play#futureengineers
Well what a week that was !
My first school trip as a teacher !
An HMIE inspection and observation !
Lots of lovely engagement from my class as we together enjoy learning about our Victorian school and the children who sat in our classroom over 100 years ago. #relationships
Being an NQT is a rollercoaster, being an NQT whose school is being inspected by HMIE is a whole different level of stress and strikes the same week! But we made it to Friday with art related to our IDL. Fantastic support from all around me (school and home!) #thistooshallpass
A labour of love but our class charter is finally complete! The class came up with ideas, voted for their theme and worked hard to make crabs, fish, dolphins, shells and starfish for us all. We rewrote articles we felt were important to us in our class. #pupilvoice
What a week ! I don't think I've every felt so tired ! (And I had twin babies 😅). A week of excitement, anxiety and fear but above all I loved it ! I could not have believed it a year ago when I started my #UoEPGDEp that it was possible but having my own class is just the best!
I wonder what will happen in these 4 walls in the next few months. Lots of fun hopefully, curiosity, metacognition and nurture as P4B and I, all continue our learning journey. Like them I feel excited but a little scared and now just want to get started! What an opportunity!
Yesterday, I graduated ! It has been THE most positive experience. Moray House and their staff have created a safe, nurturing learning experience which they should be proud of. Also, thanks to my home support crew too who made many sacrifices to get Mum over the line. #UoEPGDEp
