This little munchkin was sidelined because of a fractured arm. She made a sign and cheered on her classmates. What a thinker!!! @StClementECSD#ECSDfaithinspires
Productive POI review by our amazing @ibpyp staff! As I’m continuing to find out, more questions are generated than answers. Memories of the “how might we...” in #buildingforthefuture with @GerryDeFazio. How might we use our POI to plan for more inquiry and bring the PYP forward?
Today we used water colour paints to celebrate the resurrection and Easter. The students are so proud of the masterpieces they created. #ecsdfaithinspires@StClementECSD
The students brought in their mittens and tried to count them. It was not working. I challenged them to find a better way. They came up with putting them in pairs and counting them by 2. #countingby2#ECSDFaithInspires@StClementECSD
Student agency looks different in every classroom. This week we have focused on developing independence during literacy stations. This is agency in my classroom. @StClementECSD#ECSDFaithinspires
What an amazing recess to be out on supervision!!!! The joy the students had heading out into the snow. They were risk-takers and used thier gross motor skills to navigate the snow. @StClementECSD#ECSDfaithinspires#abstorm
LLI/Guided reading is one of my favorite times of the day. So exciting to see all the learning on such a short time. I have overcome some obstacles to get it up and running but we are going now #ECSDfaithinspires@StClementECSD#LLI#guidedreading
Full disclosure - this wasn’t how I planned this democracy assignment to go, but using sticky notes to summarize big ideas creates a visible and tangible characteristic that they can use to order from most to least important. The thinking process is amazing!
