This week as part of our insects & gardening unit, our little scientists "observed and examined" our caterpillars.

Later in the week they painted their own flower pots, planted pansies in them, then "predicted and hypothesized" what colors they will be! 👩‍🔬🌻🦋

Day 21 is Monday and we are hoping we start seeing some pip through! 🐣🐣

Classroom hatch update! Today we "candled our eggs" for the last time and put them into "lockdown". We discarded any eggs that didn't seem to be growing, and observed some great development, veining and movement in the ones that are! 10/12 seem to be viable!

Pre-K was SO very excited to expand our Pets and Animals unit this week through hatching baby chicks in our classroom! We have begun "making predictions" and "observing" our eggs day by day.

They are also very curious to find out whether our blue eggs with hatch BLUE CHICKENS😆
