Forest Class have had a great start to the week. Yesterday we enjoyed talking about those who are important to us, following on from lots of great discussions inspired by the whole school book Here We Are. We wrote some very special letters.π₯° #wellbeingiscentral
What fun to be back with the children. I am lucky enough to be working with both Forest Class AND Year 3 for the next few weeks! Yr3 loved getting artistic & painting a self-portrait - inspired by class discussions & the super illustrations in our whole school book. #artiscentral
WE WILL SEE YOU ON MONDAY!!! HOW SUPER EXCITING IS THAT??!! Well done on everything you've achieved over the last weeks. Looking forward to talking, sharing, laughing, learning... in person πππ
"I want to be big!";"The cat is going to eat me OH NOOO!"; "Oh no, more trouble. God save me!";"Oh no, it's going to eat me!";"Oo that monster can eat me!";"It's a tiger";"This cat is hungry!";"Please can somebody HELP ME?";"I have to run as fast as I can before the cat eats me!"
Year 3 have been reading a story about Tom Thumb for Guided Reading. I asked them to imagine what Tom would be thinking in his thought bubble when he spotted a cat who was about to chase him - some lovely answers! (see attached tweet!)
1st week back & already super impressed with Yr3's effort with their home learning. I love art, and the children's answers to 'What would you see/hear/feel/smell if you stepped into the paintings?", re two works by the artist G.Caillebotte, made me smile so much. #artiscentral
β€ Year3's guided reading work this week. So impressed with the imaginative ideas & words to describe characters - the crocodiles are "mean","horrible",foolish" & "gullible"..and snapped "viciously"! Check out the ideas for a different ending in the images..Fab! #writingiscentral
It's happened again!! ('What??' I hear you ask..) Well, Year 3 have impressed me again, this time in maths- Division can be tricky, but you have worked hard & persevered to recall & apply your learning. Just 2 examples here but I had lots to choose from. #mathsiscentral Well done
No less than 6 affirmation cards given to children for Guided reading this week, for creativity in their work. So many good ideas & also photos & videos. Even after so long doing home learning, you are still impressing me with your hard work! Well done Year3 π #readingiscentral
Love our Friday Fun Questions in Y3! This week's was what 4 things you would take to a desert island..Great answers as ever from the children..from sensible ones like water & tents to other great ones like 'a McDonalds' and 'my dog' π₯°. #OracyIsCentral. @MrsValean@MissMAbraham
Another week has gone and all the Year3 adults have been impressed yet again by the hard work of the children! Take a look at these drawings with adjectives describing the characters from our model text. Two examples of the super work. Keep it up! ππ₯³ @MrsValean@MissMAbraham
