@Louiestowell Old but I remember loving Pure Dead Magic and the rest of the series when I was younger. Thank my Gran used it as her class book and then told me to read it!

My Gran was a primary school teacher and on Friday we had her ‘death party’ (her name, I’m not insensitive!). One of her friends talked about how much she loved learning and how it made her such an inspiration to her pupils. I’m really glad she was my Gran.

Are everyone else’s 7 year olds having a strop every time they’re asked to get ready for bed/told they can’t have chocolate/insert other unreasonable demand here? Genuinely interested-we’ve been having battles almost every school night for 3 weeks. 😫

Feeling very lucky to teach some amazing students this week. My Gran died at the end of the Easter holidays so I’ve been a little weepy every now and then and the kids have been wonderful making sure I’m ok (and fetching me tissue!) ❤️
