Today I participated in my first ever virtual fire drill! We stayed at least 6 ft. apart while we took our picture. Students reported being chilly as they participated from home 😂 I’m so glad they were able to participate from afar! #HeritageVirtualFireDrill #HeritageLearn

Today is my first day back after maternity leave. Daniel is helping me out by wearing his #HeritageLearn onesie from @HERprincipal I love all his sweet facial expressions - he seems a little unsure of the world in this photo!

What a great morning! @MrsHoughan5th and I were able to video chat with 40 of our 60 students today! We heard about what they’ve been up to, read a picture book together, and saw many pets! #community #newnormal

Today was a bout day for so many people. In addition to preparing for some time away from school, our class celebrated Pi Day and showered Baby Bendes with some love and gifts! I’m so grateful for such an amazing school family!

Today we get to hear from author and former Saline teacher, @claudiawhitsitt about her book series Kids Like You. We learned about the books, the process of writing historical fiction, and some of the history behind the books. #MIRM #readingrocks #twoauthorsintwodays

Today was an exciting day in the LOFT! We participated in the first annual #WhoWasHistoryBee - we had three rounds and an exciting battle to the end to find our class winner. Great job to all!
