We had a blast using stop motion animation today! Weโve been studying about the challenges immigrants face and decided to pack our own trunks and analyze how we would feel moving to a new country. What would you pack? https://t.co/tDvNbPwYew
Did you live through the Apollo 11 mission? My 3rd graders are learning about this historical event and would love to hear your point of view! Help me show them the impact this event had on you as a person and the emotions it inspired! https://t.co/ANRDkwdt8F
Just a fun little Thanksgiving mad libs bell ringer. This is what one student is excited to have a week off of! Haha, got to love the honesty! (and proper use of the parts of speech๐คฃ)
Recruited some weekend help to work in my classroom. Wasnโt much help, but she sure is cute so Iโll let it slide ๐คฃ Excited to get all my kiddos coming everyday starting this week!!
https://t.co/sIehn9Znm4 Ella and I had a great time sending a little positive message to our students! Thanks @Flipgrid for making it easy and fun to communicate with students in crazy times like these!
DIY #BreakoutEDU Learning about immigration and the students will have to pass through all the immigration stations (clue cards) to enter America, much like the immigrants who arrived at Ellis Island! Will they be granted access (unlock all the locks!?) So excited!!
Maybe a long shot, but looking to skype/google hangout with someone who has immigrated/family member that has? We are starting our new module this week and would love my kids to chat with someone who has first-hand experience. #3rdgrade#googlehangout#Immigration
Trying to take a selfie with 25 kids is a hard job, but we had to get one last pic with one of our friends who is moving to Seattle this week! We will miss you!!
Diorama complete with research/planner packet! I remember doing a project like this in 3rd grade and had so much fun with it, so I selfishly wanted my kiddos to do it too! ๐ Glad they got just as into it as I did! I love that ELA pulls in science elements.
Just a few of the awesome habitat projects so far! We had been discussing the importance of animal habitats and I noticed some students were struggling with understanding what a habitat truly was, so we continued reviewing it and students then created their very own habitat
October students of the months! These kiddos rocked awesome behavior and got to enjoy a festive lunch! Such a fun day filled with Halloween stem projects, activities, and crafts! Love getting to see kids just be kids & enjoy themselves, while still learning and working together!
Spider web winners! This team found out that the smaller and closer together the marshmallows were, there was less area for the food to fall through and the web was sturdier. Less is sometimes more in this case! Teamwork and critical thinking skills made this project a success.
