We love seeing our students take the lead in their own learning and help each other.
Students created a tableau to visually demonstrate the story elements for the Nez Perce story of "Coyote and the Monster". They did a great job working together to plan and create the poses.
This week students took turns quizzing each other using the showdown strategy. They also reviewed latitude and longitude by playing Coordinates Battleship.
The 5th graders had to work together on Friday to cross the "hot chocolate river". I loved seeing their leadership, teamwork and communication. Thank you @bttriggs for the activity!
In social studies, the students wrote break up letters from the colonists to King George. They did a great job and were fun to read. #nevergettingbacktogether#freedom
When a “rock"-star 5th-grade class & science teacher discovered Illinois has no state rock, they conducted research, held an election, & recommended Dolostone to be Illinois' State Rock.
I addressed the House in honor of the great teachers and students committed to science.
My wonderful co-teacher figured out that there is now a feature where you can add another teacher to a Pear Deck in progress. My day is made! Thank you @PearDeck!
