@Jo1986swfc1 My now 17 year old son was told he was over weight at 14, he is a trampolining gymnast who trains 5 days a week. I do believe what needs to be looked at is what sport the child does as will as age related growth. Scary what could happen and does.

When we put aspects of year 1 into reception for transition its backward thinking. When a baby learns to walk they go forward first and have to repeat till they are confident. The sensible developmental way is to put excellent progressive aspects of early years into year 1.
