This afternoon we really enjoyed watching a video recording of Eurovision’s Niamh Kavanagh, answering questions asked by our #DigitalSchools Committee.
Niamh won the #Eurovision in 1993, in Millstreet singing the song In Your Eyes.

@MrsBoyces_Class@Leargas_etwinn What a wonderful start to my week!! Thanks so much for letting me know. And I'd love to hear what your students think of the book!
Stage 4 of our @Leargas_etwinn Sharing our ART stories.
And finally, as we are currently reading "The Spirit of the Titanic " by @NicolaPierce3 we tried to recreate an image of a Family leaving Ireland on the #Titanic in hopes of finding a better life in America.
Stage 4 of our @Leargas_etwinn Sharing our ART stories.
For our 2nd image we recreated a scene from a Soup Kitchen in Ireland during the Famine Times.
The #GreatFamine occurred in 1845 - 1849 in Ireland when the potato crop failed and caused hunger, starvation and death.
Stage 4 of our @Leargas_etwinn Sharing our ART stories.
We explored powerful images in History that told a story.
We recreated 3 images from History.
We loved the famous image - 'Lunch Atop a Skyscraper' 1932 and started off this stage by trying to recreate it.
@Leargas_etwinn At the centre of our work we chose a "Hand Shake" representing all the connections we have made through this eTwinning Project.
Sharing our Art Stories
Thanking you all.

Explaining our @Leargas_etwinn Stage 5 Finished Project - Our 6th Class Self Portrait.
Our Colour was RED. We decided to look for images that represented us, our school, town, county, country and our place in the E.U.
Giving a quick explanation of each.

@Leargas_etwinn For Europe, we chose the 12 stars in a circle and a map with Ireland coloured in.
We feel very much part of Europe.
