Today, we did @saravdwerfโs 100 #s activity. I took pictures and then we analyzed them discussed what good group work looks and sounds like. My goal is to speak less than 55% of class so they need practice on what the rest of that time should look like ๐๐ผ
My bag is packed, lunch is packed, dinner is planned, water bottle is filled, diaper bag is ready...
First day back to work tomorrow for the first time this year without my baby girl with me.
Ready to see my kids, but not ready to leave my own kid. The teacher mom struggle ๐ญ
Built marshmallow catapults in science - it surprised me how much fun they had with them! โHey, Mrs. Burgess, watch me!โ Thanks Mrs. Vandivort for the extra rubber bands when I ran out! Merry Break to everyone! We made it! ๐๐ผ
I polled my students & asked if they preferred everything on chrome books or if they wish it were back to paper/pencil.
A resounding YES they like everything being on their computers.
Their only issue was they donโt feel like they type fast enough.
So proud of them.
Another perk: When students say, โI turned that in to you.โ But you can pull up on their screen where it says โmissingโ. Nice try, kiddo! This is 2020 though ๐ฏ
Shared the news with my students today... Baby Burgess coming February 2021! Weโre almost halfway there ๐ฅฐ
โWhy did you wait so long to tell us?!?โ
โWhy are you not fat yet?โ
โYouโre not even that moody!โ
