This one hits hard. We were so lucky to have you as a mentor, and friend. Thanks for always rooting for me, and I think of your wise words often. I miss the days we would go and have chicken tenders at sage, but they will never be forgotten. Enjoy your wings, angel ๐ฉท

LO had student representatives on the hiring committee for their principal. I was one of them. From our first meeting, I could tell you would do great things for Lake Orion. You were genuine and kind. You brought a calming presence everywhere you went. You will be missed dearly.
So thankful for all the love and support from the kiddos today. They were so happy to have me back, and just so excited to hear about my wedding. Oakview has the best kiddos I swear! ๐ฉทโบ๏ธ #MrsByal#OakviewHustlesHarder
Such a fun end to a great week! We talked about teamwork and put it into practice in our ESCAPE room activity - all the kids escaped and got a brownie as a reward!
What makes a good student? Someone who is helping, kind, on-time, listening. We had a great talk about our class norms today and how to put our best foot forward #oakviewhustlesharder#showingup
A few tears on the last day at @SimsElementary, but the passionate staff represented the building well to the end, giving students the great education as the 70-plus previous years. New building, but same great teachers led by Mr. Nuss next fall. #AlwaysLakeOrion
As a mom, Iโm heartbroken.
As a governor, Iโm ready to fight.
Students at MSU all did something to help their fellow Spartan on Monday night. Itโs time elected officials did something, too.
Feels very weird throwing a Valentine's Day party today in class, with hundreds of parents in the building, in the county south of Michigan State University. My heart breaks every Michigan educator walking into a school today.
Tonight, Spartans will cry and hold each other a little closer. We will mourn the loss of beautiful souls and pray for those fighting for their lives in the hospital.
