Y6 had an afternoon visit and careers talk from Vantage Motor group. They shared the different types of job roles within the company and the opportunities to train and progress. Jedi, inspired us with his journey to becoming a motor technician and his love for the job he did.

Ace Partitions & Ceilings presented Year 6 many careers available within their company: construction (ceiling installations, plasterers, wall partitions etc.), management, estimation, accounts, health & safety… We were amazed at the variety of careers on offer!

Exodus Youth Project came today to show us the work & activities they do. They explained the importance of volunteers in the community and how volunteering can help young people gain vital skills & experience to support applications for paid employment.

Today, as part of school’s careers week, we met Andy from Reyt Good illustrations. He shared his inspirations to becoming an illustrator and how he created his work. He said, though he loved creating his drawings, being able to manage money and promote sales were also important.
