My favorite #TeamGus tradition!!
Every sack-fumble earns that defensive lineman an entire batch of his favorite cookies from scratch! JJ picked chocolate chip cookies, so Mama Gus went to work ๐ฅฃ๐ฅฃ๐ฅฃ luckily for his teammates, I heard he shared a few ๐
Here's to many more!!
I made 240 cookies on Thursday and Friday for my favorite football team and JJ decided that wasn't enough!
His strip sack means I'm back in the lab! #COOKIES

Happy National Coaches' Day to our FAVORITE coach, the leader of these great men @Coach_Gus, and all the @DU_Football coaches that make an impact day in and day out!
Now that you've seen the All-Decade Teams, let's dive into the top 10 games in program history (in order by latest to most recent) as selected by the current coaching staff and athletic communications at DU.
Quincy (10/22/16) - During the inaugural season, the Panthers picked up a quality win versus a NCAA D2 opponent in the Hawks. QU entered the game at 5-2 and DU won the defensive battle 14-10. The game pivoted towards the Panthers in the second quarter as Keion Powers had a 90-yard kickoff return for a TD. It is the second-longest kickoff return in school history. William Gist rushed for 150 yards (fourth all-time) and a first-quarter score.
McKendree (10/14/17) - DU was making the transition from NAIA to NCAA D2 during Sparky McEwen's first season and got a thrilling 27-24 win in double overtime on homecoming. The Panthers gained 538 total yards (third all-time) and rushed for a school-record 386 yards. Both teams missed a field goal in the first overtime and Jerred McGuire booted a 41-yard field goal to give DU the lead. After a three-and-out, McKendree missed a 43-yard field goal to end the game.
Michigan Tech (9/15/18) - The first GLIAC win was one for the ages as DU rallied from down 21-10 with 7:30 left in the game for the 23-21 victory in Houghton. Keion Powers and Haiden Majewski hooked up twice through the air in the final 4:28, including the game-winning score with just 10 seconds left from 12 yards out in the back of the end zone. Majewski threw for 265 yards and Powers had seven catches for 126 yards and three touchdowns (tied for school record).
Lindenwood (9/28/19) - The homecoming crowd was treated to an epic comeback against the Lions. Lindenwood would go on to finish the season at 9-4 and advance to the second round of the D2 playoffs. DU trailed 21-10 early in the third quarter and then scored 25 fourth-quarter points to take the win. Deondre Ford threw two touchdown passes in the fourth and Deion Powers sealed it with a 49-yard pick six with 1:52 left in the contest. Kye Black had 12 tackles and two tackles for loss to lead the defense, who limited Lindenwood to 220 total yards.
