@MattWalshBlog This is true. Shopping at multiple stores for the best deals and cooking all our meals from scratch, and our family of five grocery bill keeps climbing. It's disheartening. I don't even know what to cut anymore.
@mattvanswol What about hospitals, Matt? Do we shut down the ICUs? Healthcare workers usually work 12 hour shifts. Police, fire, EMS. Many don't work in their voting district. There are valid 24/7 industries that can't and won't shut down on federal holidays.
@Timstillherelol We had a huge snowstorm this past winter, and our street was entirely cleared by multiple neighbors with plows on their pickups. The township didn't get a plow into our neighborhood for 24 hours.
@BasedMikeLee I have a bachelor's of science. My husband has his GED and a CDL license. I will never ever make as much as he does. Glad he didn't waste time and money on a college degree.
@anactualwalnut My mother died when I was a child. I would give just about anything to feel my mother's love and support as an adult. I'm so glad you treasure her.
@Beardvet If that's her choice, then that's fine for her, but let's not normalize mothers rushing back to work before their child's umbilical cord has even fallen off.
@ore825 I had a childhood friend whose mom was from Japan. Almost every time we went to her house, she made the same meal. It was one of my favorite meals from childhood. It had noodles and ground beef with some sort of gray-ish gravy. Was this her own creation or is this a known dish?
