Second grade worked to create a definition for ‘addends’ and they formed their own examples based on background knowledge. They presented their ideas and we began our new weekly @VimmeLearning skill. It’s exciting to see what knowledge they bring with them each each week!

Shouting out a BIG thank you to our teachers at SES that helped organize and plan a fun field day for K-2 today! Our time together is slowly coming to an end and it was the perfect day to soak in their laughs, smiles, and personalities! Watch out 3rd grade here they come. 🎉

2nd grade animal research presentations started today! These students put forth hard work and so much effort into their research, rough drafts, published books, and creative projects. 👏🏻👏🏻

2nd graders have been learning about lima beans, dissecting, &
comparing the growth of seeds in a greenhouse bag versus potting soil. over the course of 3 weeks they’ve documented their learning with a mural. All stages of the lifecycle were documented and turned into art! #PBL

2nd grade visited @Minnetrista today! They learned about pollinators, planted seeds, drew pictures in their observation journals, dissected lima bean seeds, and toured 3 different habitats. It’s safe to say 2nd graders had fun. ☀️ Thank you for having us!

Happy Thanksgiving from room 200! They loved learning about the history and traditions behind the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and this afternoon they created their own balloons! 🦃 🎈

Our room became a royal palace! They spent the afternoon reviewing time by working through 10 different skills and challenges. After they mastered all 10 challenges they earned gold chocolate coins!
