Last week we were so busy with our Gruffalo activities for Book Week Scotland that we’ve only just had chance to explore all the amazing things in our Read Write Count bags! We have read the stories and learned to play the Maths games and we will bring them home today!
Next week is Book Week Scotland!
As it’s the Gruffalo’s 25 Birthday this year we are going to have lots of Gruffalo themed activities!
If you are in P1, 2 and 3 watch out for the Book Bug and Read Write Count bags coming out (Nursery’s are a little delayed).
We have been working with our Buddies to tell a story. Last week we told a story and our buddy wrote it down. This week we worked with our buddies to animate the story on the iPad, bringing it to life!
As a treat today we watched Tabby McTat! It’s this week’s Word Boost story. We were able to spot out words ‘nibble, pounce, stroll, ecstatic and linger’ whilst watching the film.
Today in topic we answered the question ‘How do dinosaurs find water?’ by learning about animal migration. We pretended to be geese and learned how they fly in a V shape taking turns to be the leader!
A reminder that P2 @MrsDarbyPPS are organising our ‘Souper’ Harvest collection! Please hand any donations in to class teachers or the office. We will then be passing these to our local food bank partners.
