4th graders celebrated Halloween and dressed up for the occasion. We learned about Diwali and Dia de Muertos and made Diya lamps and sugar skulls. Students had a great time learning and celebrating the different holidays!
4th graders made a bigger version of our number system. We figured out 100 mat pieces is 10,000 units! Students practiced place value with bigger numbers.
After exploring our new playground today, 4th graders came together as a whole group and small groups to talk about expectations we want to see on our new equipment. This ties in well to our government unit where people have a say in making decisions.

4th graders met with their 1st grade buddies for the first time! We played a "Get To Know You" board game! It was wonderful watching the students smile while learning about their buddies! π
For Constitution Day, which is also Citizenship Day, 4th graders watched people from different countries take part in an oath ceremony to become U.S. citizens! It was very wholesome to watch. β€οΈ
